This article covers the steps on how to setup Slack notifications for your custom reports from Reaktion.
Reaktion supports the option to send daily, weekly and/or monthly custom report(s) to your Slack workspace. Furthermore, Reaktion supports both public and private Slack channels.
How do I know if it’s a public or private Slack channel?
Private channels have a lock icon to the left of the channel name. Public channels have a #.

And, here are the detailed steps on how to setup Slack notifications of custom reports for public channels -
1) In your Reaktion account, please navigate to Data sources > Add new data source -
2) Connect your Slack account here (Slack is at the bottom of the page): https://advertiser.reaktion.com/data-sources/select
3) Authenticate “Reaktion Reporter” by clicking “Allow” in your Slack space -
4) Click 'Configure Slack report now' -
5) Navigate to Reports > Custom Reports > Create new custom report -
Please note only the component “Metric tiles” are supported for Slack and Email reports.
6) Please ensure to click 'Save Report' at the bottom of the page -
7) Click on the custom report you created and select 'Configure Slack Report' -
8) Select the channel(s) you want to receive notifications and the frequency(daily, weekly, monthly)
You have now successfully setup sending custom reports as notifications to your public Slack channel(s)!
Let's dive into the detailed steps on how to setup Slack notifications of custom reports for private channels -
1) In your Reaktion account, please navigate to Data sources > Add new data source -
2) Connect your Slack account here (Slack is at the bottom of the page): https://advertiser.reaktion.com/data-sources/select
3) IMPORTANT: if your Slack channel is already connected and you created NEW channels, then you need to refresh access. Click on My data sources > Manage -
Click on Settings and Refresh Access -
Once you have refreshed access, it will then load all your newly created Slack channels since you connected / refreshed access last time.
4) Authenticate “Reaktion Reporter” by clicking “Allow” in your Slack space -
5) Go to the private channel and click here -
6) Go to “Integrations” and click “Add apps” > Search for “Reaktion.com” and click “Add”
7) Click 'Configure Slack report now' -
8) Navigate to Reports > Custom Reports > Create new custom report -
Please note only the component “Metric tiles” are supported for Slack and Email reports.
9) Please ensure to click 'Save Report' at the bottom of the page -
10) Click on the custom report you created and select 'Configure Slack Report' -
11) Select the channel(s) you want to receive notifications and the frequency(daily, weekly, monthly)
