Setup profit data in Facebook Ads

Easily get your Gross Profit, Net profit and POAS per order in Facebook Ads.

Login to your Facebook Business Manager. LINK: https://business.facebook.com/ 

- Go to Facebook Ads Manager

- Click on "Reports" in the right side.

- Click on "Create Custom Report"

1. Now, add Gross Profit as custom metric:

- Next to Search click on the button with the three dots. 

- Click on "Custom Metric"

- In the Name field write: Gross Profit.

Now follow this video guide:

Dont include "ReaktionLoss" event (as shown in the video when writing the "Gross profit" formula). We no longer use this event. 

GREAT, Gross Profit value has now successfully been created.

2. Now, add Net Profit as custom metric:

- Next to Search click on the button with the three dots. 

- Click on "Custom Metric"

- In the Name field write: Net Profit.

Now follow this video guide:

GREAT, Net Profit value has now successfully been created.

3. Now, add POAS as custom metric:

- Next to Search click on the button with the three dots. 

- Click on "Custom Metric"

- In the Name field write: POAS

Now follow this video guide:

GREAT, POAS value has now successfully been created.

Note: If a POAS value is above 1 then you are making money on that campaign or ad (not taking into account your overhead costs etc.) 

4. Last one: Now add your custom metrics in reports:

Great, now you have successfully added your custom metrics! All you need to do now, is to add these custom metrics to your reports.

- Go back to Facebook Ads Manager.

- Click on "Columns"

- Scroll down on the list and click on "Customize Columns"

- Select your Custom Metrics: POAS, Net Profit and Gross Profit.

- Now give your report a suitable name ex. Profit Report and click "Apply"

GREAT, Your Profit Report has now been successfully created. Now you can always see Gross Profit, Net Profit, and POAS on all campaigns and ads directly in your Facebook Ads.
