Order Session Tracking Coverage

Modified on Fri, 24 Oct at 8:40 AM

The 'Order session tracking coverage' is a fundamental health metric that helps you evaluate whether the browser-side tracking works as expected.

To view this metric, please navigate to Tracking > My Tracking Settings:

It is important to understand that this number is not expected to be 100%. Coverage can be naturally reduced by the following factors:

  1. Ad blockers
  2. Customers rejecting consent
  3. Browser privacy settings

However, very low coverage (below ~40%) is usually a red flag. It may indicate:

  1. Incorrect handling of consent status
  2. Problems with our tracking scripts (e.g., they are not inserted, failed to load or execute)
  3. Other technical issues preventing sessions from being linked to orders

By monitoring this metric, you can quickly detect when tracking health is off, ensuring that marketing attribution and performance insights remain reliable.
