How to upload a primary XML feed into Google Merchant Center

✅ Step 1: Log in to Google Merchant Center

Go to Google Merchant Center and log in.


✅ Step 2: Add a New Feed

  1. Go to: Products > Feeds.

  2. Click the blue “+” button to add a new feed.

  3. Select:

    • Target countries

    • Language

    • Destination(s) (e.g., Shopping ads)


✅ Step 3: Set Feed Name and Type

  • Primary feed

  • Enter a Feed name (e.g., Store XML Feed)

  • Input method: Choose:

    • Scheduled fetch 


✅ Step 4: Set Fetch Details (for Scheduled Fetch)

If you chose Scheduled fetch:


✅ Step 5: Fetch the Feed

  • Wait for Google to fetch it or click Fetch Now to do it immediately.


✅ Step 6: Review and Fix Errors

  • After upload, go to Products > Diagnostics to check for any errors etc.
